The speaker in our December Çatı Katı Seminar was ‘Holistic Nutrition and Health Advisor, Ms. Ebru Zeynep Altay.
Carried out with the participation of our group companies, our seminar ensured all our employees were informed in detail about what holistic nutrition and holistic balance entailed, under the title of ‘Happy Bowels = Happy People.’
What is Holistic Nutrition?
- If what we eat is what our blood, blood cells, cells, and organs are composed of, then it is in our hands to control the state of our organs with each bite we take and to ensure we have a healthy diet and lifestyle.
- Everything we eat is a piece of information.
- If we encode our body with the correct information, it will, in turn, work efficiently. Otherwise, the system will give an error and illnesses will start to emerge.
- While changing our eating habits with holistic nutrition, we will be able to make much more conscious choices when eating out as well as grocery shopping.
- Holistic nutrition is an approach which encompasses both our physical nourishment and our spiritual nourishment. Therefore, although it encompasses a lot more subject areas which can be generalized, it actually describes a lifestyle that is unique to each individual.
- Holistic nutrition does not aim to impose stress upon individuals with diet lists but rather aims for the individual to become really acquainted with themselves and their specific needs, hence having the ability to determine what is ‘beneficial’ and what is ‘unnecessary’ food for them.
Why ‘Happy Bowels = Happy People’?
- Unstable bowels or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is the starting point for all illnesses. Inflammation starts with ibs.
- 80% of our immune system structuring takes place in our bowels.
- Probiotic and Prebiotic balance is essential for happy bowels.
- Our bowels are where many hormones are released.
- We need serotonin for happiness and dopamine for joy and loving life. These are hormones that are produced in the bowels.
What is Holistic Balance?
- Holistic Nutrition is when we enjoy balance, both spiritually and biologically. As we all know, our hormonal balance is vital for our spiritual balance.
- The impact of what we eat on our bowel health and therefore our hormonal balance emphasizes its importance on our holistic balance.
- Holistic nutrition is related to what is on our plate and what is not. However, as most food options before us are unhealthy, it is crucial that we gain knowledge and educate ourselves about how and what we should be eating.
- Exuding happiness, health, and light thanks to our diet is not a dream but a reality.
